1. What is the minimum age to be a lifeguard?  15

2. How much will I make? Individual salaries vary. Age, experience, and job duties play a factor in each pay rate.  Sweetwater pays more than many of the other companies in Atlanta.

4. What certifications do I need to guard? Sweetwater lifeguards need to carry American Red Cross lifeguard/first aid certification as well as CPR for the professional rescuer.  The lifeguard certification is valid for three years while the CPRO is good for only one year from date of completion of the class.

5. Does Sweetwater offer certification classes? Yes.

6. How much do I need to pay to get certified? This varies greatly from $100 to about $250 depending on where you go to get certified. We offer yearly CPR recertification classes at a competitive rate.

7. Does Sweetwater accept Ellis and/or American Heart Association certifications? We do not accept Ellis but we do accept AHA certifications.
